- Advanced theory of mind - detecting and explaining social faux pas (requires representing both the speaker's unawareness, cognitive ToM, and the listener's hurt, affective ToM)
- Length and format
- 20 stories (10 contain a faux pas, 10 control), each followed by comprehension/ToM questions. performance/ability - read/hear a vignette, answer whether a faux pas occurred + follow-up mental-state questions; scored against a key (control questions guard against comprehension confounds) (performance/ability test)
- Language versions
- Translated into many languages (ES, IT, FR, PT, ZH, Turkish, etc.); a standardized short version exists
