Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website at psychology.me (the "Service"), operated by Psychology Me Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Psychology Me Ltd is registered in the United Kingdom (London). These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

2. Description of Service

Psychology.me provides:

  • Online psychological assessments for educational and self-reflection purposes.
  • Free snapshot results including dimension scores and summary text upon assessment completion.
  • Paid detailed reports in two versions, Standard and Plus, with full interpretations, dimension breakdowns, and recommendations. Plus adds a downloadable PDF. You can buy either directly or upgrade from Standard to Plus.
  • Assessment credit bundles for purchasing multiple reports in advance at a discounted rate. Each credit unlocks a Standard report.

Important Disclaimer

These assessments are for self-understanding, education, and self-reflection only. They are non-clinical: they do not provide a diagnosis or medical judgement and are not a substitute for professional psychological, psychiatric, or medical evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment. A cognitive (IQ-style) score reflects performance on a specific reasoning task and is not a measure of overall intelligence or personal worth.

If you have concerns about your mental health, please consult a qualified healthcare provider. If you are in crisis or having thoughts of harm, contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately (Montenegro: SOS line 1555, every day 9:00 to 18:00, or emergency medical help 124; EU: 112; UK and Ireland: Samaritans 116 123; US: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

We do not diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health condition. Results reflect your responses at the time of the assessment. Scores and interpretations are based on established norms and should be understood as indicative, not definitive. Individual circumstances may vary.

4. Account & Authentication

To take an assessment, you provide your email address. We use a passwordless "magic link" authentication system. By providing your email, you agree to receive transactional emails necessary for the Service (authentication links, report delivery, purchase confirmations).

You are responsible for maintaining access to the email account you register with. You must not share your magic link or session token with others.

5. Purchases, Payments & Refunds

5.1 Pricing

Detailed report prices are displayed on the assessment detail page and at checkout. All prices are in the currency shown and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; changes do not affect completed purchases.

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, which acts as the payment processor. Your card details are entered into and handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers; we retain only a transaction reference, amount, and status. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

5.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid report purchases. If you are not satisfied with your detailed report, contact us at support@psychology.me within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method.

5.4 Credit Bundles

Assessment credit bundles are non-transferable. Unused credits do not expire. Refund requests for bundles are honoured for unused credits only.

5a. Talk to a psychologist

5a.1 The service

A psychologist reads the results of tests you have completed on Psychology.me and answers a question you bring. You can order a written interpretation (a note of one to two pages), a 45-minute debrief session by video, or both. At launch the psychologist is Dr. Milos Kankaras. The note and the session are in English when you order on the English site, and in Montenegrin when you order on the Montenegrin site. Psychology Me Ltd sells and provides the service.

5a.2 What it is not

The service is non-clinical. It covers career, work, learning, personality, values, cognitive and wellbeing results. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, it is not psychotherapy or counselling, and it is not an emergency service. Section 3 applies to it in full.

5a.3 Who can order

You must be 18 or over, and you confirm this when you order. You can share only tests you completed yourself and saved to your account, up to five tests per order.

5a.4 Prices

Written interpretation USD 39; debrief session USD 69; both USD 89. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Stripe processes the payment, as described in section 5.2.

5a.5 Delivery

The written interpretation is delivered within 24 hours of your payment, on any day of the week. An order placed under earlier terms keeps the delivery time those terms gave it. It appears in your account, and we email you when it is ready. For a session, the order confirmation email and your account page carry a link where you book a time.

5a.6 Sessions

A session lasts 45 minutes. You can move it once if you tell us at least 24 hours before it starts, by writing to support@psychology.me. A session you miss without that notice is not refunded. If we have to cancel a session, we offer you a new time or a full refund for the session.

5a.7 Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel for a full refund until the psychologist opens your order; your account shows when that happens. After the psychologist opens your order, the written part is not refunded, and a session that has not yet taken place is refunded if you cancel at least 24 hours before it starts (USD 69 for a session ordered alone, USD 50 for the session in an order for both). Once the order is delivered (the note is in your account, and any session held or missed), there is no refund. Refunds go to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days; your bank decides the exact time. If you delete your account, we refund what a cancel would refund at that moment. The 30-day guarantee in section 5.3 covers reports and does not apply to this service. When you order, you ask us to start work straight away, inside the 14-day cancellation period that consumer law gives you, and you acknowledge the refund rules in this section.

5a.8 If we see a clinical or safety concern

If your question or your results suggest that you may need clinical care or may be at risk, the psychologist stops work on your order and writes to you with a short referral to local care and to crisis lines, and we refund you in full.

5a.9 Limited places

We take a limited number of orders. When all places are taken, the page offers to tell you when new places open.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, assessment instruments, scoring algorithms, report templates, branding, and software code are the intellectual property of Psychology Me Ltd or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Your assessment reports are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may download and print your own reports. You may not redistribute, resell, or publish your reports publicly.

Test content, including every question, picture, answer option and answer key, is confidential and is licensed to you for personal, one-time use while you take the test. You may not copy, photograph, screenshot, record, scrape, reproduce, share or publish any test item, answer or answer key, in whole or in part, or help anyone else to do so. If you breach this, we may close your account and take steps to have the copied material removed.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract assessment scoring logic.
  • Impersonate another person or provide false information.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Use assessment results to make employment, educational admissions, or clinical decisions about other individuals.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

8. How Reports Are Produced

Detailed reports (Standard and Plus) are produced following strict scientific procedures from your assessment results and validated interpretation content, with no AI involvement. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is processed.

Reports are informational and educational. They do not constitute professional advice or a diagnosis of any kind.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data, including special-category data (psychological assessment responses). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that assessment results are complete, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose beyond educational self-reflection.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Psychology Me Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account and data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
