By accessing or using the website at psychology.me (the "Service"), operated by Psychology Me Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Psychology Me Ltd is registered in the United Kingdom (London). These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

2. Description of Service

Psychology.me provides:

• Online psychological assessments for educational and self-reflection purposes.
• Free snapshot results including dimension scores and summary text upon assessment completion.
• Paid detailed reports offered in tiers - Standard, Plus, and Personalized - with progressively fuller interpretations, dimension breakdowns, and recommendations. A downloadable PDF is included from the Plus tier upward. You can purchase a tier directly or upgrade from a lower tier to a higher one.
• Assessment credit bundles for purchasing multiple reports in advance at a discounted rate. Each credit unlocks a Standard-tier report.

3. Not Medical Advice

We do not diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health condition. Results reflect your responses at the time of the assessment. Scores and interpretations are based on established norms and should be understood as indicative, not definitive. Individual circumstances may vary.

4. Account & Authentication

To take an assessment, you provide your email address. We use a passwordless "magic link" authentication system. By providing your email, you agree to receive transactional emails necessary for the Service (authentication links, report delivery, purchase confirmations).

You are responsible for maintaining access to the email account you register with. You must not share your magic link or session token with others.

5. Purchases, Payments & Refunds

5.1 Pricing

Detailed report prices are displayed on the assessment detail page and at checkout. All prices are in the currency shown and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; changes do not affect completed purchases.

5.2 Payment Processing

Live payments are processed securely by Stripe, which acts as the payment processor. Your card details are entered into and handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers; we retain only a transaction reference, amount, and status. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

5.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid report purchases. If you are not satisfied with your detailed report, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method.

5.4 Credit Bundles

Assessment credit bundles are non-transferable. Unused credits do not expire. Refund requests for bundles are honoured for unused credits only.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, assessment instruments, scoring algorithms, report templates, branding, and software code are the intellectual property of Psychology Me Ltd or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Your assessment reports are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may download and print your own reports. You may not redistribute, resell, or publish your reports publicly.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract assessment scoring logic.
• Impersonate another person or provide false information.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Use assessment results to make employment, educational admissions, or clinical decisions about other individuals.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

8. AI-Generated Content

Detailed reports are produced following strict scientific procedures from your assessment results and validated interpretation content, with no AI involvement. Parts of your personalized report are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence, using OpenAI. AI-generated content is grounded in your assessment results and approved interpretation guidelines. We review AI outputs for accuracy and appropriateness. Where AI content is present, it is disclosed within the report. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared with our AI provider.

AI-generated insights are informational and educational. They do not constitute professional advice or a diagnosis of any kind.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data, including special-category data (psychological assessment responses). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not warrant that assessment results are complete, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose beyond educational self-reflection.
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
