What it measures

Theory of mind: inferring a speaker's real intention from an indirect utterance in a short vignette.

Length and format

~10 short stories (the original used 10; abbreviated 6-story versions are in circulation - version in use should be recorded). oral vignette with an open verbal response, scored 2 / 1 / 0 with a prompt on failure (clinician-rated/interview)

Language versions

~20+ languages incl. ES, PT, DE, IT, TR, FA, ZH, JA; a Spanish revision (Gil et al.) is widely used
