Theory of mind / mentalizing in a dynamic, ecologically valid format - inferring characters' mental states (thoughts, feelings, intentions) from a short film; yields correct ToM plus excessive/less/no-ToM error types

Length and format

45 questions across a ~15-minute film (4 characters). performance/ability - watch film segments, answer multiple-choice questions about characters' mental states; accuracy + error-type scored (performance/ability test)

Language versions

After the German + English originals, adapted into several languages (e.g. Spanish, Italian, French, Turkish, Chinese) for ToM/social-cognition research
