What it measures
Materialism as a personal value, on 3 facets: Success (using possessions to judge success), Centrality (possessions central to life), Happiness (possessions as a route to happiness/well-being)
Length and format
18 (original; 6 per facet); revised 15-item; short forms of 9/6/3 items. 5-point agreement (Likert) (self-report questionnaire)

Many languages in consumer-behaviour research worldwide (e.g. ES, PT, FR, DE, ZH, JA, KO, TR, AR, Hungarian, plus others); a children's MVS also exists
