What it measures

Preference for group-based hierarchy and inequality; SDO7 distinguishes Dominance (SDO-D, support for active group subordination) and Anti-Egalitarianism (SDO-E, opposition to equality)

16 (SDO6 and SDO7 each; SDO7 = 8 SDO-D + 8 SDO-E, half pro- half con-trait). 7-point agreement/favourability (balanced keying) (self-report questionnaire)
