- Vocational needs and work values within the Theory of Work Adjustment: 20 work-need reinforcers (e.g. achievement, autonomy/independence, compensation, security, social service) grouping into 6 work values - Achievement, Altruism, Autonomy, Comfort, Safety, and Status.

- Paired Form = 190 paired comparisons; Ranked Form presents needs in blocks of 5 (covers a 21st need, autonomy). Paired Form = forced-choice between need statements; Ranked Form = rank-ordering needs within blocks (ipsative) (self-report questionnaire)
