What it measures

Occupational self-efficacy - a person's competence belief that they can successfully fulfil the tasks and challenges of their work role. Unidimensional (a generalized work-domain self-efficacy, distinct from task-specific self-efficacy).

Length and format

6 (short form); reduced from an 8-item and originally 20-item version. 6-point Likert (1 = strongly disagree to 6 = strongly agree), summed/averaged to a single score (self-report questionnaire)

Validated in many languages incl. DE, SV, NL, EN, ES, PT (Brazilian), ZH and others; measurement invariance across the original five countries
