Global life evaluation - respondent rates current (and often anticipated future) life on a self-anchored ladder where the top is the best possible life and the bottom the worst possible life.

1 (present life); commonly 2 with the future-life rung (life in ~5 years). 0-10 ladder rating (visual ladder/numeric scale) (self-report questionnaire)
