What it measures

Career maturity / career choice readiness: attitudes toward and competencies for career decision-making. The original (Crites) measured an Attitude Scale plus a Competence Test; the 2011 Form C reframes maturity as four C's (Concern, Curiosity, Confidence, Consultation).

Length and format

Form C (2011) = 24; CMI-R Attitude Scale = 25; original Counseling Form B-1 = 75 (with 50-item Attitude A-1 / Screening A-2 forms). agree/disagree or Likert items; older forms used true/false attitude statements and right/wrong competence items (self-report questionnaire)

Language versions

Many international adaptations (the CMI is among the most translated career-maturity measures); used across numerous countries
